Dr Gareth James

Dr Gareth James qualified in 1991 and has held a variety of roles in the NHS and private health sector since then. He was a GP partner for 23 years in Northamptonshire and continues to work clinically at his local Community hospital and as a GP locum. He is presently the President and Audit Lead for Association of Surgeons in Primary Care (ASPC), and as is one of the leading authorities in the UK regarding Vasectomy, with numerous papers published.
Gareth stopped operating in 2016 due to a catastrophic eye condition (now thankfully cured), the traumatic events of which made him reflect on his own work/life balance and increasingly question his own health needs.
Since leaving General Practice, Gareth has made it his goal to help all individuals to make their lifestyle healthier and is passionate about delivering simple to understand information allied with easier access to health care, to enable individuals to take educated positive actions to improve their physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing.
