No, our sensitivity tests are designed to be simple and non-invasive. Hair sample tests only require a few strands of hair, which can be gently plucked or trimmed close to the root. There’s no discomfort involved, and no needles or blood are required.
We only need a small sample — around 4 to 5 strands of hair, at least 4cm long. That’s about the thickness of a pencil lead, so you won’t notice a difference. The hair can come from your head or, if needed, another area of the body. Coloured or treated hair is fine.

Simply place a small hair sample into a grip-seal bag, pop it into a standard envelope, and post it to us using your preferred postal service. If you’ve ordered a Physical Test Kit, this will be dispatched to you by post and will include everything you need, including a prepaid return envelope.
